Privacy Policy

Short version: Viaxen Log does not collect, transmit, or store any of your vehicle data on Viaxen servers. Your vehicles, logs, reminders, and photos all stay on your device. There is no account system.

1. Who We Are

Viaxen Log is a mobile vehicle-maintenance logbook for Android and iOS, designed for owners and small fleets to record fuel, service, repairs, parts, tires, expenses, documents and reminders — entirely offline.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

Viaxen Log does not:

  • Require you to create an account or sign in.
  • Transmit your vehicles, logs, reminders, or photos to Viaxen servers.
  • Sync your logbook to any cloud (backups are user-initiated and saved to where you choose).
  • Track your in-app behavior, usage patterns, or maintenance habits.
  • Sell or share your data with third parties for advertising, analytics, or any other purpose.

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

Viaxen Log stores the following data in a local database on your device:

  • Vehicles — name, year, category, plate, meter type and readings, and other details you enter.
  • Logs — every fuel, service, repair, part, tire, expense, document, inspection, incident, trip, battery and custom entry, with amounts, dates and notes.
  • Reminders — titles, categories, triggers (date/mileage/hours/hybrid) and status.
  • Photos — receipt and document images you attach to logs.
  • App metadata — Remove-ads entitlement state, theme, and schema version.

This data never leaves your device unless you initiate a Backup Export, in which case you choose where the backup goes. You can clear all app data at any time through your device's app settings or by uninstalling.

4. Network Use

Your vehicle data is stored only on your device, never on Viaxen servers. The only times the app touches the network at all are:

  • Remove ads purchase & restore — handled by Google Play (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS). We never see or store your payment information.
  • App Open ad (Free tier only) — Google AdMob serves an anonymous ad at launch when you have an internet connection. Removing ads disables it entirely; the free tier only needs internet to load that ad.
  • Ad tracking permission (iOS, Free tier only) — iOS asks whether AdMob can use tracking data to show more relevant ads (App Tracking Transparency). Declining doesn't stop ads, only their personalization.

5. Third-Party Services

Viaxen Log integrates with the following third-party services, each operating under their own privacy policies:

Google Play Billing / Apple StoreKit (in-app purchase)

The one-time Remove ads purchase is processed entirely by Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS). Viaxen does not process, store, or have access to your payment details.

Google AdMob (advertising · Free tier only)

If you have not removed ads, the app displays a Google AdMob App Open ad at launch. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve personalised ads under Google's Privacy Policy. On iOS, this requires your response to the App Tracking Transparency prompt. Removing ads stops all ads permanently.

6. Permissions

Viaxen Log requests the following device permissions:

  • Photo Library — to pick receipt or document photos to attach to your logs, via your device's built-in photo picker. Viaxen Log never requests camera access.
  • Notifications — to deliver reminder alerts for due maintenance, registrations and renewals.
  • App Tracking Transparency (iOS, Free tier only) — lets Google AdMob show more relevant ads. Declining doesn't stop ads, only their personalization.
  • Internet — to validate the Remove ads purchase and serve the App Open ad (Free tier).

You can revoke any permission at any time through your device's system settings. The core logbook flow (add vehicles, log events, view history and reports, set reminders) works without internet once ads are removed.

7. Children's Privacy

Viaxen Log is a utility tool not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the app and provided personal data through Viaxen Log, please contact us at viaxen.support@juanlobby.com.

8. Data Retention

All logbook data is stored only on your device. Viaxen has no ability to delete it on your behalf as we do not have access to it. To delete your data, clear the app's storage in your device settings or uninstall the app. Backup files you create are stored wherever you saved them and are your responsibility to delete.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Where required by law, we will notify you within the app. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance.
